You must remove the fuel tank or disconnect the bed and slide it back enough to access the pump, your choice.

How to remove bed rails from a dodge truck
It is inside the fuel tank and can only be accessed by removing the bed or dropping the tank. I suggest removing the bed. You should have help.
The only tools you need to put together a bed frame, are a wrench and a screwdriver. The bed frame should have come with the rest of the things you need.
I just did this recently on my 2002 sonoma. 8 bolts hold your bed on. Remove the 4 bolts from the drivers side of the bed, and loosen the other 4 on the passenger side. Use a jack, blocks, a buddy, etc to lift drivers side bed up and block the bed so it stays up. Unplug the wires to the pump, unloosen flange on fuel pump. Pump will come right out. Install new pump, flange, and wires. Before putting bed back down, turn key forward(dont start vehicle), and listen to hear pump prime. If you hear it then it works. Lower bed, install bolts and your done. Much easierthan draining tank and dropping it.
how to remove polyurethane from a brass bed
It is a fuel sending unit located in the fuel tank. The fuel sending unit is attached to the fuel pump. You will know that the sending unit is failing if the fuel guage starts to bounce. Replacing this requires removal of the bed, change the fuel sending unit/pump, replace the bed. It is not a difficult job per se, but requires a lift for the bed or friends to help remove the bed.
If you have a case of bed bugs in your bed, you should remove the sheets and pillowcases every few days and search near the walls for holes in which they can come through.
Try freezing the bed sheet.
