Brake caliper too - basically a hex head (Allen key) with an extension bar, get them at any auto store (can't recall the exact size). There's two bolts on the rear side of each caliper inside plastic protective tubes with end caps. Lift the car, wheels off, remove the protective caps, remove the 2 Allen bolts completely, remove a little retaining clip on the outer edge between the pads and the pads slide out (lever the caliper to spread the piston if needed). Installation of new pads is the reverse, bleed the system if needed. With practice it takes just a few minutes per side.
Changing the rear brake pads on a Vauxhall Vectra is similar to another device and can be done by hand or by a mechanic. The original brake pads need to be removed but not any of the brake wires. Then new pads should be put on.
THATS WHAT SHE SAID!!!!! LAWL!!!! HAKX!!!! =D
You need to change the sensor wire on the brake pad, once they have worn through it needs to be replaced. Just bought a new one for my vectra from vauxhall and it cost around £15. Hope this helps.Lee
You top it up via the brake master cylinder.
On the early "Vectra B" models it's under the trim immediately under the Hand-Brake lever.
Good ones
The brake light on the Vauxhall Vectra has a circle with 6 lines around it. When this light appears the vehicle is telling the driver that it is time to replace the brakes.
reverse then hit the brakes hard do this a few time and the self adjusters should adjust for you
There is an electronic relay switch which turns on the rear brake lights-It's located behind the brake pedal- It clicks when you push the pedal down, making contact.
Remove the tire and wheel from your 2005 Vectra. Remove the brake spring and break caliper from the brake pad assembly. The brake pads will come off. Reverse the process to install the new brake pads.
The best quote I've had to change pads and discs on a vauxhall omega is £182.
One may hang the caliper with a length of wire from the main suspension spring to change rear brake pads on Vauxhall Zafira. However, one should take care not to strain the brake pipe.
