(From Top To Bottom)

* Hoof Knife - for cleaning out the pieces of hoof that are loose or in the way. * Rasp - To smooth out hard edges. * Cutting Nipper - To cut off the main growth of the hoof. * (Saddle Horse) Clincher - To take off old nails so the farrier can replace the old shoes.

When you clip behind a horses ears what type of trim is it referred to as?

The trim you are referring to is called a 'bridle path'. These are quite common particularly in show horses, and are easy to cut. You can use electric clippers or if unavailable, you can use a good sharp pair of scissors Be careful though! Just like a bad haircut, these take a while to grow out!
