Took me a little time to find it - but - it was the 'Magic 8 Ball'. Basically you held it with the 'window' pointing at the floor. After you asked a question, you rotated the ball so the window came to the top - displaying an answer. See the related link to Wikipedia for more details.

Yes, WikiAnswers chooses to avoid certain questions, but we don't exactly 'avoid' them. We put them away somewhere so they can never be asked again. Questions involving too little information, illegal acts how-to, or anything else will be put away to never be asked again.
We are building a Q&A knowledge database. If a question is answered within 2 minutes or 2 weeks makes no difference. We are providing the answer for all of those who have that quandary in the future. Other Q&A sites expire their questions. What then happens? The questions gets asked another way and time is wasted answering the same questions over and over again. On WA we can merge these questions into already-answered questions which saves lots of wasted effort. The alternate wording concept is a strength of WA. As more and more different wordings are asked question volume will naturally start to ease up as people start to arrive at pre-answered questions more and more. That is the potential WA holds as the ultimate source for instant answers. Someone who has the answer may turn up anytime.
Illegal drug questions cannot be answered here. please don't ask again.
Sorry, the question can't be answered as written. Are you asking about a certain layer of the sun? Please reword the question and ask it again.
Certain questions are impossible to answer because there just isn't enough information. In this category, some of the questions like that are questions that describe a puzzle and ask what the name is... to get an answer, the puzzle number or the name of the puzzle is needed. If you ask your question again using the puzzle number or the puzzle's official name then it will help people know which one you are talking about. :) It is quite possible that the question already has been asked and answered because others have found they also needed help solving a puzzle, and so you might find it right away using the number or the official name.
Remember the question and ask it again. If it has been answered, you will see the answer. It can help to remember also the category you placed the question in. If you create an account, you can also track questions with your watchlist, by clicking the Get Updates button; you will then get an eMail when the question or answer changes.

You would have answered 48 of 60 questions correct. To figure out a mathematical problem like this again here is how you set up the equation: First, you need to know how many you answered correct out of 60. The unknown value is then X. X /60 Second, you know you achieved a percentage of 80%. This means, in other words, if there were 100 questions you would have answered 80 correctly. (The ratio for percentages is something over 100). 80/100 You now have your equation!! X/60 = 80/100 Start by multiplying 80 by 60 to isolate the variable (X). X = 4800/100 Simplify the equation. X=48 There is your answer!! In order to achieve a score of 80% you would have answered 48 of 60 questions correctly. :-)
