What kind of Thanksgiving there is in Disney World?

At Thanksgiving there are plenty of different activities to do in Disney World. These include seeing the American Adventure which takes you through the history of how America was founded. You can find plenty of places that will serve traditional Thanksgiving foods either in a restaurant or a take away. If you want something less traditional there will always be a parade to watch and at this time of year the guest of honor will be a turkey.

What was the first balloon to ever take part in the 1927 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?

Macy's debuted Felix the Cat, the first air-filled cartoon character balloon at its Thanksgiving day parade in 1927 (helium balloons were introduced in 1928). Although Felix was the first licensed character, it was not the only balloon in the parade that year. Technically, the first balloon may have been a 21-foot tall caricature of singer/actor Eddie Cantor at the beginning of the lineup. The most popular balloon was a 60-foot inflated dinosaur. Others included a group of cavemen and assorted turkeys, chickens and ducks, all designed by Tony Sarg and manufactured by Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Akron, OH. To view a photo of the original Felix and Eddie Cantor (the 21-foot human) balloons, see Related Links, below.

What are the costumes and traditions that most people do for Thanksgiving?

Most people, in America at least, get together with their extended family and have a big feast (of turkey, potatoes, pumpkin pie, etc). They watch the New York City Macy's parade on TV or go to a local parade. Another common activity is football. A lot of guys will get together for flag football on Thanksgiving morning, and even more will watch professional football on TV in the afternoon. People generally take the time to go around and say what they are thankful for, and some people start to decorate for Christmas.
