Reiki practitioners undergo a series of attunements, which are sessions with reiki masters that teach the basic methods of energy healing.
There are many websites and resources that offer training in Reiki which is a spiritual thing created in Japan. The best way to master Reiki is through some training with a company.
Yes a Reiki Master can teach anyone who has the desire to learn and practice Reiki. This includes people who are already Reiki 2 practitioners who want to become Reiki master themselves. Today Reiki is being taught worldwide in class and online through distant learning and home study programs. This is because Reiki transcends all physical boundaries. You can read more about online training here: www.easyreikilearning.com Usui Reiki is a spiritual practice that anyone can learn once he or she has had their channel opened by a qualified Reiki Shihan (master teacher). The attunement process itself just takes some minutes, but you have to train to understand how Reiki works and to be able to apply it. Normally you will attend in class traning over a weekend or online training which can last anything from a day to four weeks. another opinionHowever, there is no scientific evidence that Reiki has any effect over placebo and the way it is claimed to work is not scientifically credible.
Information on Reiki, or massage healing, can be found in several places. These include schools designed for this type of training as well as the library or a career counselor.
I don't believe you are required to do anything particularly special in order to practice as a Reiki Practitioner in Oregon as opposed to any other state. Obviously, you will need/want to master the art of Reiki healing beforehand. After that, there are a few options: 1. You will most likely want to be recognized by the American Board of Holistic Practitioners. This will require formal training and certification if you plan on working in a professional medicinal setting. There are Holistic Studies Institutes that will provide you with a certification as Reiki Practitioner and Reiki Master. 2. Another route is just to become a teacher of Reiki healing. You may still want to become certified for prestige reasons, but this should only require confidence that you've mastered the art and are willing to take on a class (and a business sense I suppose).
In Pennsylvania, there is no specific state license required to practice Reiki, as it is considered a complementary healing practice rather than a regulated healthcare profession. However, practitioners are encouraged to obtain training and certification from reputable Reiki organizations to ensure they are qualified. It is also advisable to adhere to any local regulations and maintain proper liability insurance if offering services to the public. Always check for any updates or changes in regulations that may affect practice.
The State of Georgia does not currently regulate Reiki. In a few states including Florida, it is regulated by the state Board of Massage, which is seen by many Reiki practitioners as a device to force them into massage schools, considered ridiculous because Reiki involves only a light touch or even a hovering non-touch to focus "ki" power. The state Board of Massage in New York reversed their similar requirement after actually watching a Reiki session in a meeting.
Probably not, throughout the attunements given in reiki one first reaches the first degree, then the second and finally the third. At the third attunement one is initiated into the master degree, not only does this mean one aquires the knowledge to give attunements, it also means the master reiki symbol is initiated within the body of the reiki master. This master symbol allows the practitioner the energy to be able to successfully attune new practitioners.
Ethically, all practitioners should receive permission (verbally or spiritually) before sending distance Reiki to anyone. If the practitioner hasn't or can't get permission, then Reiki may be sent to the situation instead of the person.

Otherwise, you can contact a Massage School and they can give you the information needed for your state. Good luck. Every state has different laws for practicing Reiki. The state of Florida only requires you to be a licensed msaage therapist if you are going to CHARGE for sessions. Anyone can give Reiki for free. Many practitioners use it for family, friends, and volunteer work. Most Reiki classes are 1 - 3 day workshops that can be taken on the weekends. You can find a Reiki Master teacher by visiting an online or local holistic/alternative directory.
