Located on the right side by the swingarm. While you are there, locate where to check the trans fluid leve. Oil plug is not on the bottom. The plug on the bottom and center is trans fluid. I found this out the hardway. Harley used to give you a manual when you bought a new bike, not anymore.
it depends on the model of bike it could be on the oil bag or on the bottom of the trans
The engine uses three quarts of oil, and the Primary/Transmission uses one quart of Sport-Trans.
20/50 motor oil and you can use sport trans fluid in trani if you can find it. this is the old fluid used, but you can also use the new stuff which is Formula+ or the synthetic Syn3 in the trani, both of which are available at Harley dealers.
I am not sure of viscosity, but if you have Harley Davidson on your fuel tank, you should use Harley Davidson lubricants. H. D. primary and trans lube or H.D. 20/50 synthetic motor oil will work just fine.
The engine oil supply holds three quarts. The primary/transmission holds one quart of Sport-Trans.
