The only transfer case mentioned in the 1996 Ford F-350 owners manual is the
Borg Warner 1356
If you are talking about the transfer case on the transmission....it would be any brand of 90 weight oil.
Most four-wheel-drive vehicles are controlled by the transfer case. The transfer case has many years in it. A bad year in the transfer case will cause the vehicle not to engage.
According to the owners manual - transfer case fluid - Motorcraft MERCON ATF ( automatic transmission fluid )
No that won't work,it's a completely different parts number.
