The transmission fluid capacity for a 1991 S10 5 speed manual transmission is approximately 3 quarts. This can be purchased at any auto parts store.
I used Mercon in my 98 S10 2.2 standard 5 speed transmission.
If the tranny came off the v6 s10
in the transmission you have to drop the pan to see them.
It uses a speed sonsor on the trannie
Mercon works fine.
4L60E transmission was in the 1/2 tons. 3/4 tons had a 4L80E in them.
The vehicle speed sensor on a 1995 s10 pickup 2wd is on the tailshaft of the transmission. The 4wd is mounted on the tailshaft of the front differential.
