Luke 19 verse 2 says Zacchaeus climbed a sycamore tree to get a better look at Jesus, as he was short .
I'm doing a topic on Zacchaeus at school, and we said that he climbed a Sycamore tree.
Zacchaeus climbed a tree in order to see Jesus as He passed by. Zacchaeus was short in stature, and the area was crowded with other onlookers. Jesus surprised Zacchaeus by staying in his home.
Zacchaeus (Greek form of Zaccai) was a Jew and chief among the publicans(Properly called Portitores) and was despised by the Jews. He believed in Jesus and in the miracles that he performed and his desire to see him more clearly caused him to climb the Sycamore tree. The Lord knew what was in Zacchaeus heart so blessed him and his household. It was deeds like this that caused the Jewish leaders to despise Jesus. The story of Zacchaeus is related in Luke 19 v1-10.
Jesus called Zacchaeus down from the sycamore tree in the city of Jericho. Zacchaues was a tax collector in Jericho.
Zacchaeus. he was a small man so he climbed a tree in order to see Jesus. he was a tax collector. tax collectors were hated by their fellow Jews because they viewed them as working for the Romans whom they also hated for having to be under roman rule. you can read about zacchaeus at Luke 19:1-10.
In the bible Jesus called out to Zacchaeus, a tax collector from Jericho, to make haste and to come down from the tree he had climbed as he was a short man, and wanted to see Jesus better. Being a tax collecter, Zacchaeus was one of a hated lot of people, but after this encounter with Jesus, Zacchaeus's life was changed. The story of Zacchaeus is recounted in Luke chapter 19.
You may be thinking of Zacchaeus? He was short and couldn't see Jesus well, so he climbed a Fig Mulberry Tree to get a better look. Jesus noticed him, said he was coming to his house next, and Zacchaeus 'left the tree' quickly to prepare for his visit (Luke 19:1-6). Zacchaeus was, however, just curious, and NOT a " follower of Jesus" when he was in the tree. He became one after they met (Luke 19:7-10)
A Skunk can sometimes climb a tree!

Saint Zacchaeus, also known as Zacchaeus the Tax Collector, was a biblical figure mentioned in the Gospel of Luke. He was a wealthy tax collector who climbed a tree to see Jesus passing by and later repented of his sins and pledged to give half of his possessions to the poor and repay anyone he had cheated fourfold. Jesus praised him for his act of repentance and declared that salvation had come to his house.
