Neither, as a thermostat would the most usefuly bit of machine to detect a rinse in radiator temperature and send electricity to the cooling fan
The fan relay and its fuse are on the radiator support bracket on the right side of the car.
There is no radiator fan fuse. It is controlled by a relay in the CCRM.
were is the fan relay located at
The cooling fan relay on the 2004 Chrysler Sebring is in the engine compartment fuse box. There are actually two cooling fan relays in this fuse box. One is a high speed radiator fan relay and the other is a low speed radiator fan relay.
Check the fuse and the wiring.
the relay should be next to the fan on the radiator shroud The radiator cooling fan fuse is #1 on the fuse box. The 1988-1989 Cabriolets have a two-stage cooling fan relay, which is mounted to the left fender in front of the battery.
The fan relay turns the radiator cooling fan on and off. The most common location for this relay is mounted on the front left frame rail.
Before you fix the Fan Relay, look for a "RAD FAN" fuse (30 amp - orange). Normally, the computer diagnostic shows the problem is the Fan Relay, but, in my case was the Radiator Fan Fuse ($5). I waste $60 paying for the Fan Relay :-[
It is in the under hood fuse box. Check the fuse in there also. The fan motors are prone to failure.
If you are talking about the radiator cooling fan it could be the fan fuse or the radiator fan relay needs to be replaced... the fan relay is VERY common for these vans. I have a 98 T&C and just had to replace the fan relay. The Rad Fan relay cost $40.00
