The two major powers were the United States and the Soviet Union.
In World War I, the two countries were the United Kingdom and France. Other major countries were also Allied Powers- such as the USA, Russia, and Italy- but none of them were Allied Powers for the entire war (Italy joined 1915-1918, USA 1917-1918, and Russia 1914-1917). Only Britain and France were Allied Powers for the entire war
