Madison was an interesting man. He was President of the United States, he took all the notes at the constitutional convention, wrote several papers/ books and was one of the leaders of the revolution. It is interesting to note that when he died he was the last of the men involved in writing the constitution , and from that time to today no one can be asked what is meant by things in the constitution.
The Second Constitutional Convention of the United States is a proposal made in the attempt to improve US politics by renovate the present US Constitution. It is an option that gives governments a way to change things that the states may disagree with.

In Short:The Constitution was written.In Depth:There were many things that happened at the Philadelphia Convention in 1787. The main purpose of the convention was to fix the many problems with the Articles of Confederation. Some men like James Madison wanted to reform the new government to a centralized form. The convention began on May 25, 1787 with twelve sates. They unanimously elected George Washington as President of the Convention. For each State there was one vote. All of the rules were voted on including secrecy. The people at the convention did support a stronger national government.
Many things but ultimately Shay's Rebellion pushed Congress into having the Constitutional Convention.
Two things happened: 1. The Articles of the Confederation were abolished 2. The delegates drafted the Constitution we have today
The bigger states wanted things and the littler states wouldn't compromise because they were afraid that something would affect them.
He wrote much of it, then he campaigned to get it ratified. He also kept careful notes on the proceedings of the convention which were held in private. The notes are the best record made of the convention.
He was the leader, but generally did not interfere. More or less he played the role of a referree or judge if you would. If things got out of hand or needed some form of direction or authoratative decision making he would step in. Madison, Jefferson, and Frankling played much bigger roles. (Chnchila)
