San Marino and Vatican City are two modern-day countries located in Italy.
Originally they were Hispania Citerior and Hispania Ulterior (nearer and further Spain) then the provinces of Hispania Tarraconensis, Hispania Baetica (mostly Andalusia) and Hispania Lusitana (Portugalsouth of the Douro river, Extremadura and a small part of Salamanca) were fomed.
Egypt and Northern Sudan

During the late Republic they were called Hispania Ulterior and Hispania Citerior. During the Empire they were called Hispania Taraconesis and Hispania Baetica.

The Hamangia culture existed in modern-day Romania and Bulgaria. These two countries occupy the land where the archaeological sites associated with the Hamangia culture are located.
Niger and Mali are present-day countries that were part of the Songhai Empire in West Africa during the 15th and 16th centuries. The empire covered a vast area that included these two modern nations.
