There was nothing unique about John F. Kennedy. He was a good, but not great President, who was idolized only because he was assassinated.

Kennedy was intelligent, but not unusually so. He was a politician, but all Presidents are politicians. He had been a military officer, but that trait was entirely ordinary; about a quarter of previous presidents had been in the military.

Nothing was "unique" about Kennedy. It's true, he's still the only Roman Catholic to be elected, but there was nothing unique about his presidency or his actions.
