Kinetics Kinematics- Kinema is a Greek word which means motion. Its the study of motion of the objects. It does not take into account, the factors causing motion. Kinetics deals with the mass of the body that moves and the cause of its motion.

This type of linear motion is known as reciprocating motion, where the linear motion is a repetitive up and down, or back and forth action. The linear motion velocity of a wheel and crank system is not uniform and conforms to a sinusodial curve, i.e. it is slowest at the 0º and 180º positions and fastest at the 90º position. To get uniform linear motion from uniform rotary motion, you can use a threaded shaft and thread follower arrangement, or a rack and pinion. btw, it's "voila!".
