Some GM vehicles have a sealed transmission. If you cannot find the dipstick, it is probably a sealed unit. You add fluid at the dipstick and it rrequires Dexron VI.
The 2004 Mercury Mountaineer does not have an automatic transmission fluid dipstick . I know that the 2002 and newer Ford Explorer four door versions do not have a dipstick for the automatic transmission fluid level .
You fill the fluid down the dipstick tube.
Starting in 2002 , the Ford Explorer 4 door does not have an automatic transmission fluid dipstick
The 2004 Chevy Cavalier transmission dipstick will be on the left-hand side of the transmission. The transmission dipstick will have a bright yellow handle.
Almost all automatic transmissions are filled by pouring the fluid into the tube that the dipstick sits in. This is why the funnels with the really long necks are made, so that you can get the fluid into the dipstick tube.
Automatic , yes. Manual, no. It has a fill hole/plug. Automatic , yes. Manual, no. It has a fill hole/plug.
According to the engine compartment drawing in the 2004 Ford Expedition Owner Guide , the automatic transmission fluid level dipstick is located between the battery and the engine ( 4.6 and 5.4 ) * I sure wouldn't be looking for it in that location
There is not a dipstick its a sealed system
The manual transaxle ( transmission ) on your Ford Escape does not have a fluid level dipstick like the automatic would normally have ( it is probably checked at the FILL PLUG on your transmission , underneath the vehicle )
There's probably no dipstick on a Sunfire that new. You need to add fluid at the transaxle itself. There's a plug in the side of the transaxle that needs to be removed to check or fill the fluid.
According to the 2004 Ford Excursion owners manual : For the 4R100 , 4 speed automatic transmission ( Motorcraft MERCON ATF - automatic transmission fluid ) For the TORQSHIFT , 5 speed automatic transmission which includes a remote filter element change ( Motorcraft MERCON SP ATF ) check the end of the transmission dipstick to confirm fluid type
According to the 2004 Ford Expedition owners manual : The drawing of the engine compartment shows the automatic transmission fluid dipstick just to the right of the battery ( when looking into the engine compartment from the front of the vehicle )
