If you look at the outline of his face behind the glasses - smaller, but only slightly smaller than the part not behind the glasses - he must have been nearsighted but not very much so. This means that his glasses were of the 'minus' type. Most often he wore sunglasses, probably for the same reasons that other celebrities wear them.
