The Venus fly trap is known for being an insect-eating plant. However, according to a report from The Sun on 19 August 2009, scientists in the UK have discovered a mammal-eating plant.
This plant, apparently a very rare giant pitcher plant, is believed to be the largest meat-eating flora in the world. It is green and red and has a stem that can grow up to 4ft long. It can only be found high on the slopes of Mount Victoria in the Phillipines.
