It will most likely be Dexron 3, it will say on the container at the auto parts, if you are not sure, just ask the person. I am sure they will be glad to help. In the days gone past, it was only type F for Ford.
There isn't a drain plug , you have to drop the transmission pan
An automatic transmission on Ford Ranger holds three quarts of transmission fluid. That is after you drain all the old transmission fluid out.
The recommended automatic transmission fluid for the 2005-2007 Mustang is Mercon V automatic transmission fluid
Type F Automatic Transmission Fluid.
For a 1992 Ford Ranger , 2.3 liter four cylinder : The 5 speed manual transmission takes ( 2.8 U.S. quarts of MERCON automatic transmission fluid )
On a 1991 Ford Explorer : The A4LD automatic transmission uses MERCON automatic transmission fluid according to my Haynes Ford Explorer repair manual * the type of fluid used should be engraved into the automatic transmission fluid level dipstick
In a 2002 Ford Taurus the type of automatic transmission fluid to use is indicated on the automatic transmission fluid dipstick or the dipstick handle
I ASSUME that would be ( type " F " automatic transmission fluid ) like the 1992 Ford EXPLORER uses as the power steering fluid
The type of automatic transmission fluid to use should be engraved on the transmission fluid dipstick
Motorcraft MERCON - V - automatic transmission fluid ( I believe it is stamped into the automatic transmission dipstick )
Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid ( also , the fluid type should be stamped on the automatic transmission fluid dipstick )
The automatic transmission uses Motorcraft MERCON - V - automatic transmission fluid The manual transmission uses Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid
