Most bandages / dressings can be applied to a head wound - a bandage is applied to: 1. give the platelets, (glue), in the blood a surface to hold on to and coagulate and 2. keep infection out.NB: Do not apply pressure to the head injury as the skull may be fractured and sharp bony fragments could pierce the brain.
