The Sweet Sixteen Shotguns were a model of the Browning A-5 Auto. They were made between 1937 and 1975. That does not appear to be a complete serial number.
You will have to call Browning.

This is a lightweight 20ga A5 made in 1966. The barrel should be marked for 2 3/4 shells. ***If the barrel is marked for 3" shells then it is not the original barrel. It is not safe to shoot 3" mag shells with the standard receiver.

This gun was made in 1950 and is chambered for 2 3/4" 16ga shells.
the rumor is any serial number on an 870 express ending with an M means its a magnum. I have one I bought in about 1987 and have shot thousands of three inch shells through it.
