Rainsford was diligent and did not give up. He was also very sly when he tricked General Zaroff into thinking that he had commit suicide but he really didn't. Rainsford was very focused. He was also cunning because he was able to construct traps to harm or kill General Zaroff. Unfortunately these didn't work as well as he would have liked but they did kill Zaroff's right-hand man Ivan and killed his best dog.
Rainsford is a dynamic character in Richard Connell's short story "The Most Dangerous Game." At the beginning of the story, he is portrayed as a skilled and experienced big-game hunter who shows little empathy towards the animals he hunts. However, through his experiences on Ship-Trap Island, Rainsford undergoes a transformation in which he becomes more empathetic and gains a deeper understanding of what it means to be prey.

General Zaroff
The first main character is Sanger Rainsford, a big-game hunter. I suppose the second could be Whitney, but he was not a large character in the story. The next character who is the second main character and antagonist is Zaroff, a famous Russian game hunter.
the traps were made by the main character dude...the protagonist...think his name was Rainsford...ya Rainsford cause he was being hunted by Zarrof, Ivan, and Zarrof's hunting dogs.
