Most students accepted to Stanford have A averages (4.0 GPA), SAT scores above 2100 and/or ACT composite scores above 30. It is important to understand that Stanford has holistic admissions, which means they look beyond the numbers into what classes you took, how difficult they were, the reputation for academic rigor of your high school, your extracurricular activities, your essay, and your letters of recommendation to see what kind of person you are and if you will add a meaningful contribution to the Stanford community.
In regards to material requirements, you must submit: -$90 application fee or fee waiver (non-refundable)
-Common Application (this includes your essay)
-Standford Supplement to the Common Application (through Common App website)
-SAT or ACT scores (Collegeboard or ACT must send these, even though you will self-report on your application)
-Official school report (also called a transcript. If you attended more than one school, you must send all reports)
-Instructor evaluation statements (often called Letter of Recommendation. Your teacher will send this. You cannot read it)
I have been intersested in Stanford for a while now and even though I'm only a junior in high school I've done a lot of research in Stanford. First of all I know that the letter to the dean is the most important request to Stanford and that they look for unique personalities and voice of those who will affect the world in the letter. Also I know that even though the SAT and the GPA will have a certain amount of effect in the application but also the motivation to do well. For example a person might be very interested in sports and excells on that but doesn't use that as an excuse to create many volunteer hours. Hope that helps and if I missed anything please add to my suggestion.

When I was accepted into Meredith the lowest GPA they would consider was a 2.9 for traditional students. Of course college application are not just based on GPA and SAT scores, they also take into consideration your academic standing about your peers, the level of courses you took during high school, and your after school activities. They want to make sure you will be a good fit for the type of student the college looks for.
I'd prefer to take some Art type classes
