You'll need to move the frame mounted engine mounts. There should still be holes drilled in the frame for the V8 version. I don't remember which holes to use....it's been a few years since I did the V6 to V8 conversion on these cars. Get the motor mounts for a 78 or up Malibu with a 305 or 350. You may have to mount these to the engine and lower it into the frame to figure out where to mount the frame mounts.
It is where your engine is mounted in the engine compartment. There would be more than one mount.
Probably because you need to check the engine.
Flooding in a 1994 3.1 liter Cutlass engine could be from a faulty fuel pump. The spark plugs may also be fouled.
i would say because it is not getting spark but i have a 77 cutlass with the same problem so check it for spark
The 1991 Cutlass Cierra came standard with a 4 cylinder engine. This would require 4 spark plugs to tune up the engine.
A loose engine mount would not normally cause the engine to fall out because each car has several motor mounts. A loose mount could cause the motor to be off of balance.
possibly a broken or missing engine mount
Loosen the engine mount retaining bolt. Jack up your 2000 Monte Carlo engine. Remove the engine retaining bolt and the engine mount bushing. Put the new engine mount bushing in and reverse the process.
I have a 92 cutlass ciera doing that, would run til it got hot, then die...ended up being the crank shaft sensor. hope this helps
It seems that they most problems with the 93' Oldsmobile cutlass supreme would be the engine and the break. Those seem to go out the most on this car.
It might be a broken motor mount or transmission mount.
Have someone check your Engine mount
