You can find simple squamous epithelial tissue in alveoli in lungs. The reason of it, is that simple squamous cells are very thin and they pass the gases through very easily. As you know the alveoli's' role is to exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide, thin walls help to do it quicker.

What tissue become lungs?

The lungs tissues are made up mainly of squamous epithelial tissue (called alveolar epithelium in the lungs). This type of tissue serves a critical function within the lungs because it allows the transfer and exchange of gases with little or no resistance. The advantages are a short distance between the Oxygen in the alveoli and the blood in the capillaries. The lungs also contain ciliated epithelium. A function of ciliated epithelium is stimulation of goblet cells to produce a mucous-like substance that not only lubricates but also traps pathogens and particles in the bronchi.

What epithelium tissue is the epidermis of the skin?

The epidermis is made up of stratified squamous epithelium.

Why is the tissue that makes up the epidermis of the skin called stratified epithelium?

The epidermis is called stratified epithelium because it is made up of multiple layers of epithelial cells stacked on top of each other. This stratified arrangement provides structural support and protection for the skin.

What tissue make up the lip?

Is the epidermis made up of simple squamous epithelium?

What tissues make up the bladder?

What is epithelialized tissue?

Epithelial tissue forms lining layers of structures in the body.ExamplesThere is epithelial tissue in the skin.Epithelial tissue forms the inner lining of the stomach, lungs, and blood vessels. There are different types of epithelial tissue, distinguished by the different shapes of their constituent cells: squamous, cuboidal, and columnar.Squamous (pavement) epithelium consists of flattened cells. There are multiple layers of this type of epithelium in human skin. It is protective in function.Cuboidal epithelium is made up of cells shaped like cubes. It is found in the kidney, for example, and in involved in absorption and secretion. Columnar epithelium has tall cells. They occur, for example, in the small intestine, where they are involved in secreting digestive juices and absorbing the products of digestion.

What are the lungs made up of?

Lungs are made up of millions of alveoli and bronchial tubes.

What Epithelial tissue that's found in bladder lining?

The urinary bladder and ureters are lined with transitional epithelium. This tissue allows the bladder to stretch when full and contract when empty. It looks like cuboidal epithelium when the bladder is contracted, and like stratified epithelium when distended.
