You should not own a sea turtle if you do not have a license to do so. It is highly illegal. If you have the license, than you have already taken the classes which contain this information. If you are possibly mistaken about what type of turtle you have, you can take it up to the pet store and they can ID it for you. They can tell you the appropraite food from there.
Mud, musk and reeve turtles are a small species only getting to be about 4 to 6 inches.
They usually eat lettuce or grasshoppers but you can find a type of turtle food that is made specially for them....
There are different opinions: * You are only supposed to feed small turtles every other day, and only give them a little food, until they get older (but when they get older, still only feed them every other day). when you see the food dissapearing faster, feed them a little bit more. * You feed them once a day. You are supposed to feed them about two little sticks (the turtle food) per day. * Feed them at least five times a week.
Keeping TurtlesTurtles need water to feed. They cannot swallow their food unless they are under water. You will need a tank big enough for the turtle with adequate heating and UV for the little fella. Go to Austins Turtle Page for information requiring the correct dimensions and lamps, heaters, filters and food. Baby turtles seem cute, but a snapper can get to around 3ft and will literally take your hand off in one bite so please make sure you know what you're doing! If you're a beginner, I'd recommend a smaller, less vicious type of turtle such as a Map or a Musk. There are different varieties of both, so there are lots to chose from!
I would suggest checking to make sure you have the right type of food for your type of turtle. You can do this by simply googling the type of turtle you have and reading about it on Wikipedia. If you are positive you have the right type of food, then make sure you are feeding it the right proportions at the right times. Your turtle could be sick so i would strongly recommend seeing your local veterinarian.
this is not what i was looking forLessthanthree_Turtles :Depends on What Type of Turtle you're Talking about. For Red eared Sliders, Feed Them a Good Meal Every 2 Days. a Good Meal is feeding them untill they don't eat anymore.
It depends to what type of fish food.
The food fed to the soldiers in WWI was cooked meat.
It is best to feed them food that is made especially for puppies, and not any human food.
