What type of fruits did people in the civil war eat?
Apples, pears, plums, cherries and peaches were fairly common. Citrus fruits were more of a luxury, as they would have to be brought up from Florida or the West Indies. Florida was part of the Confederacy and was blockaded by the US Navy.
Depending on blood type, diet can be drastically different. People who have blood type A should attempt to eat mainly vegetables and fruits while avoiding red meat. Those with type B should eat dairy products as well as vegetables and lean meats. Type O diets should center heavily on protein while consuming some fruits and vegetables. AB blood is simply a blend of types A and B.
