It's usually in the carb. Take off the fuel line and unscrew the big fitting.
It's in the carburetor, take the fuel line to the carb off and then the big nut on the carb and the fuel filter is behind the big nut.
It is in the Carburetor where the fuel line goes in. You will need a 5/8 line wrench and a 1 in. wrench to remove it. Watch how you take it out, the new one must go in the same way.
A Chevy Avalanche uses standard 87 octane fuel. Higher grade fuel will not result in improve mileage or performance.

pry it up off of the motor splines to take it off.
It is inside of the fuel tank. Remove the bed and take it out of the top of the tank. Or remove the fuel tank then take it out.
take it to a mechanic
Take it to the dealer because the pump is in the fuel tank.
take the fuel tank out of the vehicle. the pump is inside of the tank.
Probably over 500. You need to make sure the body can take the strain before you try it.
