Saab 9-3 years 2001 2003 and prob others should ONLY run on fully synthentic oil. Theres a design problem that causes sludge and any other oils only contribute to the sludge.

Since specs can change from year to year with improvements in engine oil, it is best to check the Owners Manual for your particular car. A good all-season would be fully synthetic 0w40 or 5w40, for hot climates (always above 60F) 15w50. In new Saabs, the manufacturer specifies Mobil 1 (synthetic). Several Saab repair shops also recommend Mobil 1 as it is good in minimizing the buildup of carbon and sludge. Do NOT use the extended oil change intervals that some synthetics claim.
Always use synthetic.
Any engine from any year saab 900 or 9000, as long as you know what you are doing.
Try Gregorys manuals :)

GM does not own Saab any longer. Spyker owns it now but any Saab dealer, even if they sell GM cars should be able to.

Given that Houston is a major metropolitan area and that Saab is a major auto dealer, there are several places to get a good deal on a Saab, both new and used. Ron Carter Saab is one of the dealership any Houston-based potential Saab customer should visit.
