Theocracy is not a religion. It's a type of government in which the leaders are seen as ordained by a god or gods, or where a god/gods are seen as being the leaders themselves. The laws are based on the doctrine of the religion related to that god. The particular religion and god(s) recognized as the ultimate authority in a theocracy can be pretty much anything. Islamic theocracies are pretty common. Vatican City is a Catholic theocracy.
America is not a theocracy because it is run by elected leaders, not religious leaders. The establishment of an Islamic theocracy in Iran further threatened Israel.
