Crystallization is common for substances like table salt when it is dissolved in water. You can observe the crystallization of salt when a concentrated salt solution is placed in sunlight. The evaporation of water molecules causes the solution to become super-concentrated and in this state an undissolved piece of salt, the sides of the container, or a particle of dust can serve as the seed for recrystallization. The products of this process are the salt granules on the sides of the container. Same applies with sugar and similarly soluble substances. Hence through cooling or evaporation a solute can be separated through the process of crystallization from the solvent.

A typical example is the separation of table salt (sodium chloride) from sea waters. Of course the method can be applied also to similar mixtures.

Explain why elements and compounds are pure substances while a homogeneous mixture is not?

The difference between a homogeneous mixture and a pure substance is that a pure substance has a fixed composition and cannot be separated because it is chemically bonded and a homogeneous mixture can be separated.

What is BWR of nuclear energy?

BWR = Boiling Water Reactor. In this type a certain proportion of the reactor coolant water is allowed to turn to steam (unlike in a PWR), this steam is separated out from the water after the reactor outlet and passes directly to the steam turbine.

What type of solids that can not be separated?

Chemically or physically. Chemically, elements can not be broken down. Chemically, a mixture of solids can be seperated in most cases through solubility, precipitation, and by using chemicals.

What are the areas of compression and rarefraction an dwhich type wave do they aply?

LONGITUDINAL wave. Air layers come closer at a particular time at a particular place is known to be compression. At the same place after some time the layers get separated. This is rarefaction. For example, a sound wave.

Difference between beam penetration technique and shadow mask technique?

Beam penetrationUsed with random scan monitors.the colors are depends on the speed of the beam.there are only three colours are available red, green, blue.this is not expensive.Quality of picture is not so good.if the speed of read id high then only red color produced.shadow maskUsed in raster scan monitors.there is a shadow mask is used.the colors are depends on the type of the ray.there are millions of the colors are available.it is expensive in the nature.there is no like that speed criteria.

Adsorptive chromatography is an analytical technique used for the chemical separation of mixtures and substances. The technique depends on the principle of selective adsorption (not to be confused with absorption), a type of adhesion.

Various chemical compounds eg Hydrogen Peroxide.

How do compound and mixtures differ?

Elements are one type of element in a group where all the elements are the same or a lonely single atoms. Compounds are two or more different types of elements and mixtures are a lot of elements made so that unless you use a good separating technique you would not be able to separate them. an example is air you cant really separate that unless you use serious power hope this helps
