If its the latter then the hazard lights on the vehicle will either be amber in the front and rear or amber in the front and red in the rear. Now switch the turn signal switch to the bad side and compare the lights that are illuminated (but not flashing) to the side that was working. One or more of the bulbs are out and will not be illuminated. Change that bulb (s).

Hey mate. It will be the switch on the front axle housing. Whether due to switch problem or vacuum diaphragm problem. Basically the switch is saying it's still in 4wd.
