Judge Dredd : no particular make of bike is under the fibreglass body..they were all scratch made using various off the shelf parts on a skeleton frame. ..originally they were fitted with wide wheels to front and back..then it was found they would not corner properly, so the wide wheel was retained at back and a slimmer wheel was fitted to front. EIGHT bikes were built in total, five of which had 650cc engines which were for shots of wheelspins as the bikes accellerated into the distance..they were so powerful that only stuntmen were allowed to ride them.the remaining 3 bikes were dubbed "mopeds" and were for the main actors to use, fitted with a simple throttle mechanism..the rider opened the throttle and the bike started, the rider closed the throttle and the bike stopped...like a twist n go moped .
