Im no expert but the other night when the diesel i was using was just about gone I added some motor oil and it seemed to burn just fine. I read online that you can burn any type of liquid hydrocarbon. good luck
5W30 in the cold months and 10W30 in the hot months. If you use any heavier oil then the valvetrain will not lube and will burn up.
