No, it is not safe to use motor oil for a chainsaw. Chainsaws require a specific type of oil called bar and chain oil, which is designed to properly lubricate the chain and bar of the chainsaw. Using motor oil can damage the chainsaw and affect its performance.
No you cannot. Old motor oil contains harmful additives that can be released back into the atmosphere and can make you sick. Don't do it.
Yes, You can burn your motor up.
In general, yes. But they've put big taxes on diesel. I have also converted an #2 oil furnace to reliably burn the motor oil from our van fleet
Short of re-refining it there is no good way to break the long molecules of motor oil into the size that makes diesel fuel. You can add small amounts of motor oil to diesel fuel and it will burn but it is not recommended.
Too much oil will damage your engine as not enoght oil too will damage your engine. for example; To much oil will burn your oil rims inside the engine causing your motor to start smoking thru the exhaust system. Exc. Not enough oil will burn your bearings inside the engine causing your motor to start knocking and make noises. exc.
