i own a 2002 grand am gt and we've had it for 4 years now and she has just turned over 230,000 miles! I haven't had to do any major work on it at all (same motor and tranny). All I've ever bought was 5qts of royal purple 5w-30 and k&n oil filter and changed them out every 6,000 miles.
