Well I don't know what oil, comes stock in the Infiniti. But I do know that you can use any type of oil for the Infiniti just like any other rig. Preferred Royal Purple and Castrol Syntec or EDGE.

You can use AC Delco, Castrol or Bosch 10W40 Semi-Synthetic or Full-Synthetic. Doesn't matter if your dealer change the oil or not, but you have to make sure that a person of good knowledge and sound reputation does that!

Yes, I have been using 87 octane for 4 years without any negative effects. I have no valve knock. In fact, my highway milage is about 27 mpg at 75 mph. Modern auto computers do the trick.
