The Spanish are a composite of Nordic and Mediterranean types.

Redheaded freckle faced folks are found some places in the north while Mediterranean types predominate in the south. However, the population was not too mobile until the last half of the twentieth century. With improved mobility I would expect to find a much more homogenous mix in another 50 years.
