Public worship is known as liturgical prayer, or Liturgy. The definition of Liturgy is a public service, duty or work. In Scripture it refers to the religious duties to be performed by priests and Levites in the Temple, especially those related to the Sacrifice.

A call to prayer is a public proclamation, which is made five times a day in Muslim societies to mark out the ordained occasions for worship in mosques.
This type of prayer is called The Prayer of Praise and Worship. When you pray to God in this manner you are thanking Him for being God.
There is public worship. Which includes reading Namaz (prayer) at a Mosque. Hajj. And on the other hand, there is also private worship, such as reading Namaz(prayer) at home, reading Quran, reciting names of Allah on Rosary beads, reciting various verses etc. Fasting in Ramadhan. Giving Zakat(giving to charity).

Jehovah's Witnesses gather for worship and prayer on a weekly basis in a meeting hall they call a "Kingdom Hall". There they study the bible and participate in weekly bible discussions and all meetings begin and end with a prayer. Jehovah's Witnesses view all prayer, as well as their public preaching work as part of their worship and this they do outside of those set meeting times and any time of the day.
