Many sharks attack humans, but the big three are the bull shark, tiger shark, and great white shark.
Well, no. Sharks attack only if you're bothering the shark itself. If you're nearby a shark, don't run. It'll chase you for sure if you run. If you're calm, then it won't chase you. So, no, shraks don't attack humans for fun. That would be stupid if that happened. (answered: 3/6/09)

They Have 3 Main Competitors. And Here They Are: Sharks, Orcas And Humans.
Normally, sharks don't actually attack people. In fact they are more scared of us than we are of them. But, if they seem to be voraciously hungry, almost any kind of shark (excluding the very small, and the whale shark) may attack you. They also might attack you if you provoke them too much into attacking you
Sharks only attack people on a average year about 12 times and only 2-3 of them die considering the millions of sharks humans have killed this is very little, if a shark does attack it almost always because they feel threatened or they are mislead like if a human is lead on a surfboard with his arms legs and head poking out the sides like this o -()- (i know it's not a good picture!) From underneath the water the shark would /\ mistake it for a seal etc and attack if hungry but once it tastes human flesh will usually let go unless threatened and in the cases of death the victim usually would of bled to death and extremely rarely eaten. Tiger sharks are known to be the most aggressive as they eat almost anything not the Great white like is reputation says!
around five hundred at a time. They have several rows, whereas humans only have two rows, one on top one on bottom
great white shark The great white shark is fat but when it bites you it crushes you. And there is a really low chance that megaladon sharks are in our planet, because none people we attacked by a megalodon shark before
Killer whales are not considered dangerous to humans and do not prey on humans. There are accounts of killer whales turning on their keepers in Sea-world etc but these 'attacks' are extremely rare and the killer whale's in these instances did not attack the humans for food, more likely the attacks were due to frustration at being kept in captivity. Killer whales are quite capable of attacking and killing humans but choose not to, we are simply not on the menu. Sharks on the other hand are less fussy about which animals they prey on and if the shark is big enough and of the predatory variety then humans can be very much on the menu. Great whites, Bull sharks, Tiger sharks and Mako sharks kill between 3 and 4 people every year. When you compare this number to crocodiles who kill around 3000 people a year or tigers who kill hundreds of people a year it is quite clear that sharks have an undeserved reputation and the movie Jaws has a great deal to do with this.
