There is no difference in Power Steering Fluid. Use any off the shelf at your local auto parts store, or department store.
You can add power steering fluid to your 1988 Chevy Astro by removing the top to the power steering fluid reservoir. Pour the fluid directly into the reservoir.
Either MB power steering fluid or Dexron ATF.
It does not matter on that year as long as it is power steering fluid.

Power Steering contains the fluid which is in Disc Brakes(uncompressible liquid).It evaporates it self.
Inside your steering column , the turn signal lever and hazard flasher button are parts of the multifunction switch that stick out from the steering column
might be vacuum linkage, maybe low on trans fluid, computer
you use what is recommended for it. actually power steering fluid is power steering fluid just with different levels of quality. if it's not in the manual, use lucas power steering fluid. dont use any power steerinf fluid stop leak.

I have an 1988 Deville. On my car the power steering pump is on top of engine next to the belt tensioner. You will see a reservoir with a plastic cap . Remove cap and put fluid in there.
A good quality power steering fluid from any auto parts store will work. If you are not near a store with power steering fluid you can substitute a good tranmission fluid for Chrysler vehicles. BE CAREFUL AND CHECK THE YEAR , ACCORDING TO CHRYSLER'S 1985 MANUAL, NEVER , NEVER, NEVER USE TRANSMISSION FLUID IN THE POWER STEERING PUMP, POWER STEERING FLUID ONLY.
