BONE MARROW-There are two forms of bone marrow contained within the structure of bone: yellow and red. Both yellow marrow and red marrow are made up of connective tissue and blood vessels.
Bone Remodeling does not affect compact bobe, but it DOES affect Spongy bone tissue.
The bones have the largest amount of minerals, calcium and phosphorus, in its extracellular matrix. Teeth, which are specialized bone, have additional enamel that makes them even stronger. That answer has nothing to do with the question asked....but the answer is connective tissue.
Compact bone and spongy bone both perform different functions. Compact bone forms the outer tissue of bone. It forms the walls of the diaphysis of long bones and part of the epiphyses. It is vascularized tissue that accepts nourishment from the blood vessels. Spongy bone is located in the spaces that fill with bone marrow (central marrow cavity) in long bones (interior of the epiphyses) and adds strength to bone with minimal weight.

Tendons connect muscle to bone. Ligaments connect bones to other bones. Both are types of connective tissue. Tendons are extensions of the fibrous tissue between the muscle bundles. Ligaments are made mostly of collagen fibers, giving them a little more flexibility that tendons.
