Cold will sink to the bottom. Hot water will rise to the top.
Cold water.
a steel ball bearing will drop faster in warm water then cold water, a beach ball will float better in cold water because cold water is more dense.
An egg will sink in water but will float in salt water. An egg will sink faster in hot water than it will in cold water.
Because hot water makes things melt and cold water makes things freeze.
In hot water the molecules vibrate faster than cold, resulting in the same number of molecules taking up a larger space. This means that hot water is less dense than cold water, and thus floats above the cold water.
cold water faster
yes
I believe hot water freezes faster because it is supercooled. Cold water is non-supercooled. When cold water freezes ice crystals form and float to the top, forming a layer of ice over the top of the water, so the layer of ice stops evaporation . While the hot water, which is probably no longer hot in the freezer, when it does freeze, it freezes throughout, creating more or less of a slush before freezing solid.
Salt dissolves faster in cold water

Hot water will diffuse things faster than cold because of the extra kinetic energy moving things around. Diffusion rate increases with higher temperatures or pressures.
Cold water will freeze faster. Because the freezing point of water is 0oC, water that is closer to that point will freeze faster then hot water. This is because it will require less time to lower the temperature to the freezing point.
