When welding with DCEN the electrode is positive and the work is negative?

DCEN means Direct Current Electrode Negative. Hook the welding cable to the Positive connection (+) on the machine, the ground cable to the Negative connection (-) Electricity travels from Negative pole to Positive pole.

What is the meaning of no load and full load on a power supply?

NO LOAD:--- as it is very clear from the word itself that it is no load that means no load has been applied to the machine..i.e.the output terminal of machine is open circuited FULL LOAD:-- the maximum load value that can be applied to the machine at which it can work without damaging any part of the machine is called machine working at full load.

What size wire feeder should be used for 300 amps welding machine?

Usually the rating of a welding machine is expressed on the DC output side. What you need to state is what the input in voltage and amperage is. It is this side of the welder that is connected to the supply breaker. On the nameplate there will be a voltage, amperage both stated for an AC supply connection.

Can you run a 480 volt machine with 600 volt incoming voltage?

Yes, but the 600 volts would have to be transformed down to 480 volts. Direct connection to the motor with 600 volts would overheat the motor to destruction.

Why the synchronous machine rotate at synchronous speed?

The spatial distribution of the windings in the armature is designed in a way such that it produce a rotating field when a three phase source is applied to its terminals. The field windings have a DC field applied to it and it is rotated mechanically by a prime mover. If the prime mover tried to rotate the synchronous machine at speed higher than its synchronous value then the power output of the generator will increase and this causes the speed to "lock" again to the synchronous one. If the prime mover applied less torque then the machine will slow down but the power output will decrease DUE TO DECEASE in the applied torque and this cause the machine to "lock" again to synchronous speed of the grid. The same principle can be applied to synchronous motors except that torque is negative (i.e. the prime mover is applying negative torque)

Movements that transfer power from one part of a machine to another is known as?

electric charge. It is flow of electrons from negative terminal to positive terminal. I guess this is right answer.

What happens when positive terminal of a battery touches the body of an earthmving machine like excavator whose negative cable is attached to the body?

Nothing unless the negative cable is connected. If it is then you get a dead short. Battery could explode or just arc severely.

Is 0 a negative number?

Mathematically speaking, 0 is neither positive nor negative. In machine language in computers, 0 is considered as "positive" since the negative flag is not set.

Did Martin van Buren cause positive or negative effects?

He has caused both. One major negative effect was the "Panic of 1837" the positive effect was that he helped set up the political machine.

Are the NB Minimus reviews positive or negative?

According to the reviews I read about the NB Minimus machine is positive outcomes, that it is something that people wanted as a change and really enjoyed it.

How do you know which way the capacitor goes on what is positive and negative on a tattoo machine?

It doesn't matter if there are not positive/negative markings. It can go either way. This is true of almost any dev1ce that doesn't differentiate the colors of connecting wires or special markings on the device.

What are the positive impacts of a sewing machine?

The positive of the sewing machine is that it can help you make clothes faster and the stitches is a perfect straight line/The negative of the sewing machine is that machine would be hard to use if you a beginner and you had to fix it or buy a new one that would make it Expensive therefore sewing machine can have a negative and a positive

What is mean by polarity?

Water is a covalent molecule (one where the electrons are shared between the atoms). If you ever tried to share something with someone, then you know that it is difficult to share equally. The same is true for atoms. Some atoms like to hog electrons more than others (measured by what is called electronegativity), so they will pull the electrons towards themselves and away from the other atoms. In water, oxygen is the electron hog (has a higher electonegativity) and the hydrogen is left wanting. The electrons spend more time with the oxygen atom, so it gains a slight negative charge. In contrast, the hydrogen atoms has a slight positive charge. These slight charges and the shape of water (bent - like the letter "v") make the water molecule polar (having two poles - positive and negative). Most people know that opposites attract, so that is what happens here. The negative oxygen is attracted to the positive hydrogen atoms of other water molecules. This attraction is what causes a hydrogen bond to form. A hydrogen bond is not as strong as a covalent bond, but it is still very strong. This hydrogen bonding in water is responsible for many of its unique properties like high surface tension (pain when you do a belly flop), evaporative cooling (why sweating cools you off), and many other unique properties. hi mr Morris and ms urez there my science teachers
