the only coolant i ever use is the green stuff. you can get it at any parts store. even though you have red coolant in your truck right now, that stuff is bad. it eats all the seals and corrodes the inside of your engine. i wouldrecommend flushing your whole entire cooling system and changing the thermostat now for engine oil... its completely up to you. you can spend a ton and put full synthetic oil in your truck, but i just put in the chevron oil, or the NAPA brand oil. check on your oil fill cap and see what it says for weight, it probably is 5w30. id recommend putting a k&n oil filter on it also, this will allow a lot more dirt to be trapped in the filter and it allows the oil to flow better.
