A chemical change produces a new substance with different properties than the original substance.
Compounds are chemical substances that is formed when two or more different types of elements join together.
IF no chemical reaction takes place, heat a solid to melt it, converts it to a liquid (melting). More heat raises the temperature until it boils, converts the liquid to a gas (vaporization). Some substances can be heated and converted directly from asolid to a gas, (sublimation).
There is no one group called "converts". Without being more specific (converts to Christianity, converts from Hinduism to Buddhism, etc), this question can't be answered.

I'm a bit confused on the question, there are alot more than two types of substances in existence. If your asking about the Reactivity of substances they are broken into two categories, Acids and Bases. Acids have a ph of 6 or lower. Bases have a ph of 8 or higher. Neutrals have a ph of 7. A neutral is eather pure, clean water, or a mixture of both acid and base that balance out the ph of the substance.
Reactivity
Two or more substances that are not chemically combined make up a mixture.
