There is loads of different types of pony. if i went through them all i would be here all day. but the smallest one is called a fallabella and the biggest is called a clydesdale. and a horse that is over 14.hh is officially a horse but if under 14.hh it is then called a pony.
Well there are around 5 different breeds that can reach that height. The Paint, depending on its breeding (mother and father). My cousin's paint was only supposed to be 14 hands and he turned out to be 16 hands.
The Connemara, stands between 12.2 hands and 14.2 hands.
The Haflinger, stands between 13.2 hands and 15.0 hands.
The palomino, stands between 14.0 hands and 17.0 hands.
The Percheron stands between 14.3 hands and 16.1 hands.
Don't get me wrong any horse can normally stand 13.2 hands high and turn out to be taller. It is mainly on there breeding. For instance if you were to cross a Clydesdale and a Caspian. You might get the height of a Clydesdale and the looks of a Caspian. Or it could possible turn out the other way.
Welsh Cross, Halfinger Mare, Quarter Pony, Paint, Paso Fin, Bashkir Curl
A horse that is 13 hands high is 52 inches tall. This is about the height of a standard donkey, or a pony.
Maybe 5 ft...
Radar, the world's largest horse,is an impressive height of 19 hands, 3 1/2 inches tall == ==

It is a special measure that people use to measure horses. It is four inches and you measure the horse or pony from their withers (where the mane starts on the horse's back) down to their feet.
No, a Przewalski horse is only 12 hands tall and a regular horse is 16 hands tall.

Probably not. If you're only five inches tall, how do your hands reach the keyboard?
The archtypical unicorn is only nine hands high. Since then their height has been ennobled up to 14 hands which is very big (the tallest Shires reach only 17 hands)
Horses and ponies are measured in hands. One hand is equal to 10cm's. Equines are considered horses if they are 14.3hh or above. Ponies are up to 14.2hh.

a horse has to be over 14.2 hands tall to be considered a horse, anything under that is a pony.
You could have a pony about 13.0 hands tall but no smaler and a horse at any size but you might want one 15.2 hands tall or shorter.
The Rocky Mountain horse can be 14.3 hands up to over 16 hands.
A horse measuring 15.2 hands is 62" tall at the withers, which is 5', 2" tall. This is a relatively short horse, but the American Paint Horse breed is known for being shorter through the legs and stockier. In contrast, Thoroughbreds can be up to 18 hands (72" or 6' tall) and draft horse breeds can be over 21 hands tall (84" or 7' tall).
A horse can get to be 18 hands high is what I estimate and Ir am an expert horse person. :)
Hand wise? On hand is 4 in. 75 / 4 = 18.3 hands
