The entire continent is a unique wilderness. A continent covering 10% of the earth's surface, 98% of which is covered with an ice sheet, and is a polar desert, is unique in the world.
According to the Wikipedia definition of wilderness:"Wilderness or wildland is a natural environment on Earth that has not been significantly modified by civilized human activity."...then absolutely, Antarctica is a wilderness.
Because it is.....get with it ! LOL
Antarctica, ok make it into a world wilderness park. Nobody cares.
There is a lot of wilderness living in or coming passed Antarctica such as penguins, humpback whales, elephant seals and an abundance of bird life.
The interior of Antarctica.
Neither. It is wilderness.
I quote,'Antarctica has become a unique place in the modern world, the only continent that remains relatively untouched by human interference and therefore arguably the only pristine wilderness left on Earth.'
Because the "u" of "unique" is pronounced as if a consonantal "y" precedes it.
Antarctica is governed by The Antarctic Treaty, its official status. The World Wilderness Site proposals are not official.
basically 50 cent said no.
America had wilderness.
Antarctica is the highest, coldest, driest, windiest, darkest and iciest continent on earth.
