Miniature Dachshunds are prone to several health issues that can lead to death, with intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) being one of the most common causes due to their long backs. Other significant health concerns include obesity, which can lead to Heart disease and Diabetes, and certain genetic conditions affecting organs. Additionally, cancer can also be a leading cause of death in older Dachshunds. Regular veterinary care and maintaining a healthy weight can help mitigate some of these risks.
